The Centre is a Private Occupational Training Organizations (POTA) accredited school with campuses in Halifax, Fredericton and Kelowna that offers programs in digital entertainment and information technology all in one roof.
Diploma and certificate programs are available in Animation (2D and 3D), Digital Media Design, Event Management (for Entertainment and Digital Arts Industry), Digital Film, Information Technology, Recording Arts, Video Gaming and Visual Effects.
The Centre for Arts and Technology is not your normal community college or University artschool. The Foundation of Art and Design is learned but the experience is much more immersive, engaging and interactive, leading to practical application and internship in real world digital art industry placements and careers.

Arts - Design / Animation3D AnimationYou are an individual with creative flair and a passion for animation. Taking the 3D Animation program is the perfect way to launch your career in professional animation production for film, TV and video. Fundamental to your training is the exploration of real-world projects, time management, reaching milestones, and working to deadlines. These skills combined with technical and artistic training will allow you to complete a professional portfolio and demo reel relevant to your specific career or academic goals. You will graduate with the skills necessary for entry-level positions in 3D production, such as animation, modeling and technical directing, for a wide variety of industries that include film, TV, video, games, new media, education, military, health care, architecture, merchandising, and marketing.
3D Game AnimationYou have a talent for art and a burning passion for games. At the heart of the entertainment revolution is the game industry and a career as a game artist is your destiny. Games allow you to join complex fantasy worlds, tryout new identities, live out heroic stories, and test your abilities. You can even challenge or join forces with players on the other side of the world - and game artists and animators exist at the center of the action.
Graphic and Digital Media DesignAre you both an artist and a technician? Apply your passion for digital technology to our unique Digital Media Design program where you explore graphic art and design, commercial art, digital imaging and publishing, interactive multimedia, and of course, the Internet. The program starts with a focus on foundation art and design education, fundamental hardware and software skills, and career development skills needed for building your successful career. Arts - Multimedia / RecordingAudio EngineeringSurround sound, interactive CD's and DVD's, iPods; audio has come a long way since the early days of vinyl. If you are interested in professional engineering in the digital age, or just learning how to work with and create sound, the Audio Engineering program is the perfect educational vehicle. You will be equipped with a solid skill-base in the procedures and equipment used in professional multi-track recording and sound reinforcement environments for music/sound production and post-production for film/video, TV, and new media. You will train in top quality recording studios using the latest linear and non-linear recording technologies. Once the basics are mastered, your will then refine and apply the higher-level skills required for longterm career success in the audio industry. Practice and integration are emphasized along with technical expertise, production and project management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Training is applied through projects modeled after real-world scenarios.

Learn how in a real world movie studio setting of our Digital Filmmaking program.
